The tools for web developers to add a touch of Twitter to any site are out there and easy to use. Trust us — your clients will love you for it!

There’s no better time to start utilizing Twitter integration tools than right now.

–Here are 10 of the most useful ways to start turning your site readers (or your client’s customer base) into Twitter followers, and vice versa.

Author: Glen Stansberry Glen Stansberry is a web developer and blogger. You can read more tips on web development at his blog Web Jackalope or follow him on Twitter.

1. Twitter Widgets If you’re just getting started with wanting to integrate Twitter into your site, than simply adding the traditional Twitter widget to your site’s sidebar is a great start. It’s not sexy, but it’s a great way to show your latest tweets on your website. It’s an effective way to get readers involved into your Twitter updates, without taking up too much screen real estate. Twitter widgets can be used with virtually any site or blog, including HTMl-only pages. While they may not require the most exciting development hack to incorporate Twitter into a website (copy + paste), simplicity is not a bad thing. (more…)

Published by Henrik Edberg March 7th, 2008

Bruce Lee’s Top 7 Fundamentals for Getting Your Life in ShapeIf you haven’t been living under a rock for the last 30 years I’m pretty sure you know who Bruce Lee was. :)

If you have, then you may be interested to know that Lee was a very famous martial artist and actor who sparked the first big interest of Chinese martial arts in the West in the 60’s and 70’s.

But besides being an awesome fighter and iconic figure Lee also had some very useful things to say about life.

Here are 7 of my favourite fundamentals from Bruce Lee.

1. What are you really thinking about today?

Water Is Life

The Water Solution…

Imagine a small, portable device that hangs around the neck of a child and gives them one year of clean water where ever they are. If they are thirsty and they are walking by a creek the filter acts like a big straw filtering the impure water and making it possible to drink without risk of disease. It has proven to be effective against waterborne diseases such as typhoid, cholera, dysentery, and diarrhea, and removes particles as small as fifteen microns. This device provides clean water anywhere they are; at home, at school, in the fields working… “WATER IS LIFE!” is born. WaterIsLife is putting into effect a plan to change the pure water problem in Kenya and other areas as needed. is working with top water purification companies to make thousands of personal water purification devices available. The cost per unit is less than $10 and provides a year’s worth of water for one person. The filters are the first step. The next step is providing a sustainable solution. Water wells, sand filters and other technology will be put into place to provide these people with life giving water. Thanks for joining us on the journey. Please consider making a trip with and giving water purifiers to children who desperately need them.

How Are the Water Filters Made?

The filters are made of a durable plastic which are impact resistant.

A series of membrane filters at the bottom of the straw – which is submerged into water – is the first stage of the filtration process.

The second stage is iodine crystals that kill the waterborne diseases – Typhoid, Cholera, Dysentery and Diarrhea.

Finally, the charcoal filter at the top of the straw removes the taste and provides the child with pure and clean water.

Each straw can filter 2-3 liters of water per day for one year.

Each filter is only $10 and saves a child’s life from waterborne diseases for one year.

Making Money on Twitter

By Harry Skillings

Making Money With Twitter is certainly possible. By now everyone has heard of Twitter. It is now ranked 596 on the most visited websites in the world. It founded by Jack Dorsey, Biz Stone, and Evan Williams. It began as a research project inside a San Francisco company Odeo in March 2006. It incorporated in 2007

The Wall Street Journal wrote, “These social-networking services elicit mixed feelings in the technology-savvy people who have been their early adopters. Fans say they are a good way to keep in touch with busy friends. But some users are starting to feel ‘too’ connected, as they grapple with check-in messages at odd hours, higher cellphone bills, and the need to tell acquaintances to stop announcing what they’re having for dinner.”

That’s how I felt when I first heard about it . Do I really want to know what people are doing during their days ? Of course now that I’ve tried it, I love it. Its like a blog in that it gives you a chance to express yourself but you don’t have to write much. You just give updates. I’m sure many people will get bored of it , but the marketers will use it to try and make money. After all, this is America, and where there is a will, there is a way to make money. I’m not talking about Twitter itself monetizing the site. I’m talking about the users making a profit while they “Tweet”.

The most obvious way to make money is by putting your affiliate link inside of your posts. You don’t want to overdo this because Twitter frowns on it and people realize you are just trying to sell them things. Another way to make money is to get a user name that will attract people. For instance, you could choose the name Boston Red Sox. You would probably get people, following your page, who are interested in the Boston Red Sox. Then, you could sell them things related to baseball or the Red Sox . That is a couple of methods, perhaps you can think of more!

Sometimes you just want to get out of the browser environment, and Adobe AIR apps offer a viable solution with many of the same features you enjoy in the browser. Apps such as the YouTube Video Widget even work online and off, allowing you to watch your downloaded videos any time you’d like from an app you already enjoy.

Quote of the day

Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.
Mark Twain

Never Give Up

4115by Brian Armsey
I would just like to talk about the fight to “push through” it all.
As I look back at the challenges I’ve face in my life, I  can easily pick plenty of times that I could have just given up.

I could have thrown my hands in the air and said “I quit”.
Many people choose to take that course of action and suffer for the rest of their lives. Let’s face it people, this world is not easy. This world is Not set up for you to easily skate through life. You have to get up everyday and fight through the challenges that are put before you.   Forget about the past and the bad things that happened to you.

When you were a child, you had to rely on the adults in your life. If those people chose to be lazy, if they chose to be abussive, if they chose to neglect you, if they chose to be addicts…. then that’s what THEY CHOSE, NOT YOU!

That time has come and gone.

Now it’s YOUR TURN. Do not blame your failures on THOSE PEOPLE!

If YOU CHOOSE to be lazy, if YOU CHOOSE to be abussive, if  YOU CHOOSE to be neglectful, if YOU CHOOSE to be an addict…. then that’s YOUR CHOICE…. NOT THEIRS!

Stop complaining and START DOING!

This world is full of crybabies and whiney butts.
**This world needs leaders, REAL LEADERS!**

If presented with even the smallest problem, a lot of people will “crumble”. You have to learn to fight. You have to realize that people are counting on you to succeed. If you have children, they are relying on YOU for everything! You have to push through, you have to fight, you have to succeed. That’s the BOTTOM LINE.

Become a true leader and people will follow you. If you think you aren’t in a position to lead then educate yourself on how to lead. The public library and local book stores are full of resources that can educate you on how to SUCCEED and how to become a LEADER!

There are people in this world that are watching you and depending on you… WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Oh Yeah?…

Get off of your butt and DO IT!
